"The National Archives of Luxembourg (ANLux) play a key role in preserving and disseminating both public and private archives, as well as managing information within the state. This work is essential for maintaining the country's memory, promoting a more transparent and democratic society, and ensuring the smooth functioning of public organizations.

Internship Type: Archives Training, Master's Level 2

Internship Location: National Archives of Luxembourg

Internship Duration: 4 to 6 months, 40 hours per week. Start date to be agreed upon with the intern.

Compensation: According to the current regulations in Luxembourg

Reference Supervisor: Magali Soler, Head of the Collection, Advisory, and Supervision Service.

Profesionnal Supervisor: Michel Cottin, Digital Curator, Collection, Advisory, and Supervision Service.

Missions:

The intern will participate in the missions and activities of the Collection, Advisory, and Supervision Service (SCCE - Service Collection Advice Supervision) at ANLux. The internship offer is particularly focused on the issue of digital archives. Under the supervision and guidance of SCCE members, the intern will be in charge for:

Participating in advisory missions within the team:

Observing interviews as part of advisory services for archive producers.

Conducting audits of digital archive backlogs for archive producers.

Participating in digital archiving training, including leading practical exercises.

Participating in the collection and processing of digital deposits:

Monitoring and quality control of digital deposits.

Handling the archival processing of a digital backlog until the implementation of a Submission Information Package (SIP), following ANLux methods.

Contributing to the long-term digital preservation project of the Luxembourgish state:

Participating in activities within a project for the design and implementation of a digital preservation policy (contributing to regulatory framework analysis, attending steering meetings, maintaining relationships with user communities, assisting the project management team).

Profile Required:

Master's level 2 education in archiving.

Interest in digital archives.

Analytical and synthetic thinking, strong writing skills.

Communication skills and interpersonal abilities.

Autonomy and precision, ability to report.

Initiative, dynamism, and ability to make proposals.

Proficiency in office tools (Microsoft Office).
